Description & Details
Who is Captain Planet?
When the planet is endangered by environmental damage, Gaia—the spirit of Earth, who appears as a woman akin to Greek mythology—gives five special young people – called Planeteers - magical rings. Each ring represents an element: Kwame from Africa wields Earth, Wheeler from North America commands Fire, Linka from Eastern Europe channels Wind, Gi from Asia controls Water, and Ma-Ti from South America holds the power of Heart. When combined, the five rings summon Earth’s greatest champion, Captain Planet. Based on an idea by Ted Turner and Robert Larkin III, the animated TV series "Captain Planet and the Planeteers" was produced by Turner Program Services and DIC Enterprises and originally aired from 1990 to 1992. Designed as educational entertainment advocating for ecology and nature conservation, it became a successful franchise encompassing toys, comic books, video games, and even a nonprofit organization founded in 1991 by Ted Turner, the Captain Planet Foundation. Captain Planet’s enemies, including the main antagonist Zarm—a destructive and malevolent planetary spirit—spread pollution and destruction across the world, opposing the hero and the Planeteers. Exploring the Captain Planet statue: With a golden Earth emblem on his chest, red boots and gloves, blue eyes, and the form of a superhero avatar sporting grass-green mullet hair and crystalline blue skin, he takes flight, powered by the forces of nature. These are represented by translucent energy tendrils, each glowing in a unique color. Portraying the spirit of the Earth, he wields abilities such as transmutation, elemental control, flight, energy blasts, invulnerability, telepathy, superhuman strength, and much more.
An ancient entity acting as the planet’s protector and mentor to a group of young environmentalists, Iron Studios proudly presents the "Captain Planet - Captain Planet and the Planeteers - Art Scale 1/10" statue, with the classic elemental warrior standing on top of a stylized globe base symbolizing his mission, adorned with the Planeteers' power rings, from which the beams of energy that summon him emerge.
